7 String Guitar Tuning (e, b, G, D, A, E, B)
7 String Guitar Tuning
This is the 7 string guitar tuning. The most common tuning for 7-string Guitars. It is like having a 6-string guitar with a standard tuning, but with a lower string added (a 7th tuned on B). Strings are tuned up in e, b, G, D, A, E, B from the first string (the thinnest) to the seventh one (the thickest).
This tuning and generally this type of guitars are basically used in Metal or New Metal music. Very lower sounds can be achieved, thanks to the Low B string added that gives a previously unavailable "darker" and "fatter" color to your music.
Inconvenients? Since the neck is wider, this is a more difficult to play instrument; you will have to make some changes to your technique - when playing full chords or soloing and specially if you plan to make an extensive use of the 7th string.
